Since I wanted to be able to post at the beginning of Craft With Your Kids Week, last week my kids and I painted some Halloween shirts using the freezer paper method.
My mom gave us two orange shirts, so I still had to find one for Little Miss B. I bought a couple “muscle shirts” at Wal-Mart for $1.00. 
I just cut the top off like you would on a pillowcase dress (just do a search—there are many, many tutorials on how to do this type of dress/shirt), and added bias tape around the top. With the other shirt I cut off the bottom and used it for the ruffle. 
The kids chose what they wanted on their shirt and after bedtime I cut out the shapes and ironed them on so they would be ready to paint after school the next day.
As soon as they got home from school, they did their chores quickly (how’s a craft for a bribe?), and got to work. Here’s my oldest son C.

And Little Miss B. Maybe I should come up with nick-names like that for my other kids so you can keep them straight! Anyway, she did not paint her shirt. She knew she wanted to paint a spider, so I printed off a spider online and she painted that while I painted her shirt. It was a good deal we made:). 
I did not tell them to throw their arms up in delight, but delighted they were. Except for Little Miss B, of course. She really was excited, even though you can’t tell. 
They were especially excited to wear them to school the next day. D’s teacher asked him to make her a shirt like that for Christmas. He was so proud of it.
